Breaking the Stigma for Younger People: One Customer's Story of Living Actively With Incontinence at 24

Victor shares his story

My experience with incontinence started after a serious bike accident in my early 20s. After the accident, I began having bladder and bowel control issues, and at first it was difficult to accept because I was still very young and active. I worried a lot about leaks, smell, confidence, and whether I could still do the things I enjoyed.

Over time, I learned how to adapt and manage daily life with incontinence. Now at 24, I still enjoy sports, hiking, traveling, and working on my family's farm. There are still challenging days, but I've learned that incontinence does not mean your life is over or that you have to stop being active.

Finding the right products also made a big difference for me. I have used NorthShore MegaMax and NorthShore EternaDry Booster Pads when I need extra protection and confidence for long days. I also use NorthShore GoSupreme Pull-On Underwear for more active situations because they are comfortable and easy to move in.

One of the biggest things I want to do is help reduce the stigma around incontinence, especially for younger people. Many people think only older adults deal with these issues, but that is not always true. I hope sharing my story can help others feel less alone and more confident about asking for support and finding products that help them live normally again.
