The Abena® Abri-Form Classic Briefs, also referred to as Comfort briefs are Abena's original line of high-end tab-style adult diapers. The Classic briefs are still a top seller in the USA due to hard-to-find features including plastic exterior and large protection zones that extend to the sides in both front and rear. The Classic briefs are now Abena's only tab-style diaper still available with the plastic exterior. These briefs feature superior absorbency even in the side wings and lock away urine and odors into gel that is dry to the surface & pH neutral to help reduce skin breakdown and allow for fewer changes.

Features Include:

  • All-Around Protection

Absorbent protection zones extend to the sides in both front & back.

  • Advanced Features

Stand-up leak guards, rear cross-barrier to prevent leaks out the back & wetness indicator.

  • World-Class Absorbency

Combination of fast drying super-absorbent polymers, quick-wicking channels and top-dry layer keep the skin dry and minimize leaks to reduce diaper and linen changes and allow for uninterrupted sleep of user and caregiver.

Abena Abri-Form Classic Tab-Style Briefs Level 4 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 167.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Abena Classic M4 Wonderful diaper. Has not leaked at all. It stays comfortable when wet and doesn't feel saggy or clumpy. Great for nighttime and it's comfortable to walk in. Padding is soft but not too soft. Kinda in the middle. Plastic backing so a little crinkly. With relaxed fit jeans on you probably won't hear it except in really quiet places. If you need a high absorbancy diaper I would recommend trying it. If you wear it during the day it's a little bulky. A long untucked long shirt that goes to the bottom of the butt seems to do the trick. Haven't been super active in one yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best I have found so far. I have tried all the major brands, I don't mean store brands like depends. With the addition of a couple booster pads I am able to wear this all through the night without having to get up to change. The capacity is unbelievable. The only negative I have found, is if I saturate my diaper it tends to leak through the plastic backing. The M4 is at its maximum for my size yet L4 is way too large, there should be one in between medium and large. This diaper combined with Gary activewear pants makes a perfect pair and I have yet to wet the bed with that combination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely the best I have been using the Abena M4-classic for six years now for Nocturnal enuresis after cancer. Im a big guy-6'3" and about 200 lbs. Most mediums are not tall enough on the front or back. Most larges are too big for my legs. This diaper is an all star! Its tall, super absorbent, NEVER leaks, contains odor (plastic backed), and is more comfortable than anything else i have tried (including normal underwear). I do use a Northshore large booster in it mosty as a precaution, since i hate bed protection covers. i wake up every morning with a wet but comfortable diaper and dry sheets and partner. I also use these during the day when i may not have quick access to a toilet or if i might fall asleep (travelling for example). For daytime use a good pair of compression shorts and some loose pants will hide the bulk pretty well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great for daytime.. after reading and doing some research on the abena m4, I bought them and I am very impressed! They are extremely comfortable for me to wear throughout the day and are actually pretty light in wait. They are a little bulky but I can deal with that. The absorbancy is great and they seem to distribute the fluid throughout. Although, I wet VERY heavy at night and at least for me, they did not hold up well. Although, I will continue to buy these as a daytime only diaper. I love the Northshore Supremes to wear at night. Only other problem I have with these is that you can't adjust the tape tabs once there in place. You can only refasten them if you take them off, but can't adjust them throughout the day to tighten them up a bit .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Danish Comfort and Quality When it comes to Abena products. You can't go wrong. The comfort, the softness... If you were to just forget that you're wearing diapers and for that moment think logically there's really only positive things about these not a single bad one. In fact I have started to prefer diapers over underwear for comfort...its just that comfy... i really cant wrap my mind around the so called Diaper wearing stigma... I highly recommend Abena products! They run just a tad bit larger than NorthShore. So a medium NSC diaper is actually smaller...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value and all around product for bowel problems. I wear these for bowel issues. I am fully mobile and lead an active life. I find these with a tight fitting pair of natural rubber pants over them, and odors are eliminated. The plastic is quite and although some people dont care for the stiff feeling of this product, I like it. They arent as bulky as some overnight diapers but are more bulky then say a plastic backed attends. Its a trade off. I like the extra protection over less bulky diapers, especially out in public, your situation may be different. If you have bowel issues and need to be away from a bathroom for long periods of time, I highly recommend these. Combined with a pair of rubber incontinence pants they hide odors, and they are not overly bulky. Some people may not like the stiff feeling of the padding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best I have been in these fortwo years now and never had a failure. Night, day , movies, mall does not matter. They are a little bulky but VERY absorbent. I am a heavy wetter and I can sleep all night with now problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Diaper for your money. Although these diapers run around $1.25/diaper I feel they are very economical. If you were a depends you will change it about three times for every one time of the Abena M4. I've been incontinent for about 40 years and have tried about every mainstream, drugstore diaper out there. The absorbent padding does a really good job of keeping the feeling of wetness away from the skin. I keep some Abena pull-ups on hand if I'm going to be out in the heat for long. They also do a great job of protecting you, but on hot days you usually don't void all that much, to begin with. I hope that helps you in your decision making.

Are the tapes refastenable on the Abena Abri-Form Classic Briefs Level 4? Thanks!

Asked by: Jennifer C
The tapes are a two-layered setup, one on top of the other. After you fasten them the first time you pull the second tape, which is right on top of the first tape, off the diaper and then readjusts. This is basically a one-time readjustment. Occasionally I have had a problem pulling the second tape off. It can stick a little more on the diaper end of the tape and if you aren't careful you can pull to hard and tear the diaper. I've learned that if the tape seems to stick that last little bit then I will just pull the front of the diaper towards the tape and lay it somewhat on top of the first tape and then pull the second over and press it down and rub it a little to make sure it sticks well.

I have tried many other diapers, from depends to tranquility ATN to wings. Im not concerned about sound cause I've noticed the best ones are usually noisy. I am a side sleeper and ALL of the above mentioned diapers have leaked on me, will these leak?

Asked by: Awarn
As long as you're wearing the correct size and the leg holes are snug, there should be few issues with leaks.  Sometimes people with higher absorbency needs still need a little additional protection, and that's when you would want to consider adding a booster pad for additional absorbency, or perhaps a waterproof cover, or both
